Intruder Alarm Systems - Home and Business Installation in Cambridge CB1, CB2, CB3 & CB4
Our systems are fully complimented by a complete range of control and detection equipment to ensure that the safety and security of your premises is of the utmost importance.
Your nominated key holder is never more than a call away, ensuring your alarm never goes unnoticed.
We can use your existing telephone line, a wireless mobile connection or both to provide the most reliable and secure means of alarm notification.
Many people try and compare prices with Intruder systems available from local hardware Stores, Catalogue Companies or Auction Sites. Almost all of this equipment is inferior and easily disabled or bypassable by thieves.
All our Intruder Alarms conform to both British and European Security standards that have been developed in conjunction with the Police, Insurance Companies and the Security Industry. While this equipment costs a little more, it is much more secure and reliable.
We can install both Wired and Wireless Alarm Systems, while we prefer wired systems due to the unsurpassable level of reliability and security, all of our wireless systems are approved to the required security standards and provide a much simpler and speedier installation. There is little difference in installation cost, but they do require their batteries replacing every 1 to 2 years.
We are your local installer for Bassingbourn, Biggleswade Cambourne, Cambridge, Orwell, Royston, Sandy and surrounding villages.

Welcome to QSX Security & Electrics
At QSX we offer more than being just security installers, we have over 25 years experience in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of Electrical / Electronic Systems. So you are in safe and experienced hands.
We are based in Cambridge and cover the counties of Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Norfolk.
Our mission is to help reduce crime and hopefully prevent you from becoming a victim. By selecting us for a completely no obligation survey, we will highlight any security improvements you can make and provide you with a quote.
It is unfortunate that most people only start to look at improving their security after they have become a victim. While house insurance usually goes some way to helping replace some of the items, it is the loss of items with centimental value that causes the most distress.
Having a security system installed can cost less than most people spend on their smart phone contract in 2 years.
While Security is the core of our business, we are also fully qualified electricians and registered with Napit. Click here to check our Accreditation
We are experienced in both domestic and commercial work and can untaken everything from fitting a plug to a complete property rewire.
In addition to Installation, we are approved perform Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR's), Portable and Fixed Appliance Testing (PAT/FAT).
Unlike many "Just" Electricians who will only answer there phone from 9 till 5. We extend our 24 hour emergency callout service to also include our electrical services.
We completely understand that everyone has a budget and we provide our survey and quote without any obligation. In fact, as a responsible security provider, we actively encourage you to obtain other quotes for the same work. We are confident you will find us competitive. We also believe that customer service, quality and locality must be taken into account when investing in a security system. Should you receive a better quote, please give us a call so we can see where we have got it wrong.
So give us a call today..

It's easy to get started creating your website. Knowing some of the basics will help.
What is a Content Management System?
A content management system is software that allows you to create and manage webpages easily by separating the creation of your content from the mechanics required to present it on the web.
In this site, the content is stored in a database. The look and feel are created by a template. Joomla! brings together the template and your content to create web pages.
Logging in
To login to your site use the user name and password that were created as part of the installation process. Once logged-in you will be able to create and edit articles and modify some settings.
Creating an article
Once you are logged-in, a new menu will be visible. To create a new article, click on the "Submit Article" link on that menu.
The new article interface gives you a lot of options, but all you need to do is add a title and put something in the content area. To make it easy to find, set the state to published.
Template, site settings, and modules
The look and feel of your site is controlled by a template. You can change the site name, background colour, highlights colour and more by editing the template settings. Click the "Template Settings" in the user menu.
The boxes around the main content of the site are called modules. You can modify modules on the current page by moving your cursor to the module and clicking the edit link. Always be sure to save and close any module you edit.
You can change some site settings such as the site name and description by clicking on the "Site Settings" link.
More advanced options for templates, site settings, modules, and more are available in the site administrator.
Site and Administrator
Your site actually has two separate sites. The site (also called the front end) is what visitors to your site will see. The administrator (also called the back end) is only used by people managing your site. You can access the administrator by clicking the "Site Administrator" link on the "User Menu" menu (visible once you login) or by adding /administrator to the end of your domain name. The same user name and password are used for both sites.
Learn more
There is much more to learn about how to use Joomla! to create the web site you envision. You can learn much more at the Joomla! documentation site and on the Joomla! forums.
